The aim of the design was to create a Joint Service Centre housing a range of council, health and
community services all in one building. Providing local residents, the opportunity to be able to obtain
healthcare services, information and advice all in one convenient location and comfortable surroundings.
These included three GP practices surgeries, a children and family centre with child and adolescent
mental health and flexible accommodation to provide for future growth. Further uses included Children’s
integrated Clinic, Child Development team, speech and language clinics, occupational therapy and
physiotherapy.
Location:
Kirkstall, Leeds
The design encompassed a large sedom roof and outdoor terrace whilst in a modern style befitting the
local urban building vernacular.
