The internal space available was significantly less
than those within the existing Infirmary, as such we
worked with the Trust to design new ways of working
to ensure that the building could adapt to the
services required. Clinic rooms were designed in such
a way that multiple services could use them, reducing
the number of cellular rooms and ensuring that space
utilisation was as high as possible. Agile working
space ensures that non-clinical activities can take
place whilst clinical rooms are used for other services.
